We're committed to
Minimising Waste

Here at Good Riddance we’re on a mission to give the world.
The best insect repellent without compromising on safety
for our families and our planet.

  • Reduce

Waste from the skincare industry is a big issueand we didn’t want to add to it. We ship using compostable bags and seal them with papertape to help reduce our environmental footprint.

  • Eliminate

We found a smarter solution. Our tubes are recyclable and made with an enzyme that helps them break down in landfill within 10 years without creating microplastics.

  • Recycle

We pack orders in recycled cardboard boxes made in Australia and yes, even our packing peanuts are compostable. It’s all part of reducing wastef rom packaging.

A Safer Choice

Did you know 1 in 10 Aussies suffer from asthma and allergies and 1 in 5 experience chemical sensitivities and suffer from health problems from exposure to common chemicals and synthetic fragrances in products.

That’s why we developed a clinically proven solution to be fume, fragrance and chemical nasty free so we could be sure it is a safer choice for our families.

Environmental
Effects of DEET

During my research, I found out that DEET doesn’t easily
break down in the environment
and is the one of the largest
contaminants found in waterways around the world.

Everyone is worried about the effect of sunscreen chemicals on
reefs but what about the effect of DEET on creeks and tropical
ecosystems?

DEET is toxic to aquatic animals

DEET is the original chemical used for repelling mosquitoes.
In fact, almost everything you read online tells you that you
need to use DEET for an insect repellent to work!

97%

of Australian coastal waterways have DEET in them

30%

of DEET is not filtered out by wastewater treatment plants
