Jeannie wins Silver in the AusMumpreneur awards!

I am so thrilled to announce that I won Silver in the 2021 AusMumpreneur of the Year Award last week. For me, this award is extremely special as it is a reflection of my past 10 years in business and how far I’ve come. From starting in 2010 as a market stall in Darwin, becoming a cosmetic chemist in 2013, to now having my own manufacturing facility with a team of 10. Since relaunching last year we are now stocked in over 300 stores and resorts and have a passionate network of market stallholders all over Australia who are helping to build a brand that helps Aussies enjoy spending time outdoors, connecting with nature and experiencing this beautiful country of ours for generations to come. Nothing brings me more joy than knowing that I have contributed to that and I’m particularly proud to be part of the 1% for the Planet community and donating 1% of our sales to the Australian Wildlife Conservancy, an inspiring not-for-profit doing important work to conserve Australia’s biodiversity.

I’d like to thank my husband Sean, who has always believed in my dream and works tirelessly beside me to make it all happen and my boys Alex & Oscar, now 17 and 18, who have grown up as part of our business since they were 6 and 7. I’d also like to thank my co-founder Julie Ellis, for her passion, belief and determination that started me on this exquisite journey of entrepreneurship.

And I can't forget my amazing team who are as passionate about my business as I am, who make me love going to work each and every day. Thanks Skye, Chloe, Maverick, Cooper, Damien, Alex, Sammy & Stephanie. I’ve felt lost without you in the office each day during lockdown.

I’d also like to thank my star market stallholders who are like my extended family and help to spread the love of our brand far and wide. You have been a core reason for our growth, being the face of the brand for so many. And of course, our many retail stockists who have taken a chance on selling our range and believe in what we’re doing as much as we do. Thank you also to our customers for allowing me to bring a little joy to your lives!

Finally, I’d like to thank the AusMumpreneur team. You’ve given me a chance to step away from the day to day running of my business to reflect on the last 10 years and how amazing they have been. I’m extremely proud of the business I’ve built and the journey we’ve gone on to make it what it is today. It has been a challenge for sure, but it has given me so much joy. What I’m most proud of, is how my business has grown from a place of love. Each and every business decision has been made from that place and I’m so happy to see that a great business can be built on that foundation of positivity.
