We've got answers

Good Riddance Sensitive was carefully formulated by a cosmetic chemist to be kind to sensitive skin.

We’ve blended essential oil with other natural scents to create a beautiful smelling cream that kids and adults will love to wear every day. This all-natural insect repellent is free from DEET, picaridin, OLE, citronella, phthalates and synthetic fragrances.

The luxurious cream base is rich in shea butter, cocoa butter and other natural plant oils that nourish the skin, leaving it hydrated and smooth.

Good Riddance is DEET-Free. DEET doesn’t easily break down in the environment and is the one of the largest contaminants found in waterways around the world.

Everyone is worried about the effect of sunscreen chemicals on reefs but what about the effect of DEET on creeks and tropical ecosystems?

Another big issue for us was the amount of waste produced by the skincare industry – and we didn’t want to add to the problem.

Which is why we went on the hunt for a biodegradable option. Our tubes are completely recyclable, but if they do end up in landfill, they contain an enzyme that helps them break down in less than 10 years (without creating microplastics).

We also pack our orders in recycled cardboard boxes  produced in Australia and yes – those packing peanuts are compostable!
We’re also using compostible shipping bags for our web orders and paper packing tape to further reduce our waste footprint.

The repellent lasts at least for 90 minutes and generally up to 4-5 hours, however, every individual and situation is different.

To apply the cream, dot a small amount of cream on an area of exposed skin, then gently spread the cream to cover as much skin as possible. Continue this process until cream has been applied to all exposed skin.

Make sure you apply to all areas not covered by clothing, such as your neck, ears, behind your knees, under your arms, tops of feet and legs. Not only does the smell of the cream repel the mozzies, the cream itself is rich with shea butter and beeswax which create an additional physical barrier against the midges.

Of course it does! It was create in Darwin with years of testing by fishermen in Kakadu.

Good Riddance Tropical and Sensitive Insect Repellents have both been registered with the APVMA – Australia’s accreditation body for insect repellents.

To be registered, we had to be able to prove that our products are just as effective at repelling mosquitoes, midges and sandflies as any other DEET-based product on the market.
